Our founder and president Michele Lawson is an award-winning journalist and video producer who has been published in newspapers and magazines for more than 25 years. She has paralleled her journalism career with extensive corporate communications and public relations experience giving her writing a unique diversity.

Having completed a three-year journalism diploma from Centennial College and a media degree from Queen’s University, Michele has headed up the communications departments of several not-for-profit organizations, and focused on marketing in many corporate environments. As a media project manager, she has coordinated international film shoots and media campaigns.

In 2003, wanting to enjoy a more diverse workload, Michele established Quill Communications, a Barrie-based independent venture assisting businesses with their writing, marketing and public relations needs.

She specializes in translating her clients thoughts into words – the way you would if you could.

Her expanding team includes other highly skilled writers, designers, printers and web developers who work collaboratively to produce high quality results at the best possible value.

A recent addition to the Quill brand is the establishment of the Quill Writing Centre, which fosters capacity-building, continuing education and skill development for students, business people and individuals.
